Dr. Albergo earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center and completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Nassau County Medical Center, where he received extensive training in cataract surgery, lens implantation, glaucoma treatment, and laser procedures.
He is a skilled lens implant surgeon and offers LenSx® bladeless-assisted cataract surgery for enhanced precision and outcomes. His practice also includes glaucoma surgery, dry eye diagnosis and treatment, and routine eye exams.

I was very pleased with my visit there to CT Eye Care center. I was having an issue with my eyes and Dr. Albergo was able to solve the issue and my eyes have been feeling great ever since.
Went to Dr. Albergo for a second opinion on an eye issue. Dr. Albergo was able to see me on short notice and took my symptoms very seriously. I first called his office as a new patient late in the afternoon and I had an appointment for early the very next morning.
I'm one of those people who would almost rather die then have somebody touch my eyes (or even put eye drops in my own eyes). I had an eye infection type thing going on, and was referred to Dr.Albergo. Well, Dr. Albergo was kind and understanding, and his assistant Vanessa is a rockstar.
I was initially very nervous about undergoing cataract surgery, but the surgeon's professionalism and reassuring demeanor put me at ease. The operation was a success, and my vision has improved dramatically. I am so thankful for the excellent care I received.
