Dr. Pramanik is a highly respected corneal specialist offering a full spectrum of corneal transplant procedures including PKP, DLEK, DALK, DMEK, DSEK, and keratoprosthesis. In addition to performing complex cataract surgeries and refractive procedures, he specializes in ocular tumor surgery and reconstruction of the eye’s anterior segment. His expertise draws patients and referrals for some of the most challenging cases in ophthalmology.

A passionate educator, Dr. Pramanik previously served as Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, where he trained residents and fellows in advanced corneal and cataract techniques. His global impact extends through the International Cornea Foundation (ICF), which he co-founded to support sustainable surgical training in India and, more recently, in Africa. Through the ICF, Dr. Pramanik and colleagues have developed a long-term, mentorship-based model that empowers local surgeons with access to new technologies and eye banking strategies.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Pramanik resides in York County with his wife, Dr. Reena Pramanik — a recognized oncologist — along with their three sons and extended family. Though hobbies have taken a backseat, he stays busy as a dedicated dad, shuttling between swimming meets, karate classes, and scout meetings.
